Modernity disconnected human from nature in many ways.
Anthropocene era warns us about the consequences of those disconnections and reveals the urgent need of new understandings of nature and closer ties with its essence.
Through immersion in the pristine nature of the Westfjords, we try to tighten those ties, to better understand what Anthropocene era means and to rethink the way human and nature should behave together.

Rediscover nature in the era of Anthropocene and better understand the actual issues surrounding environmental preservation.
Immersion - Activities in nature
Go deeper into the nature of the fjords through meditation and corporal performances
Explore the forests from today and yesterday
Enter the rocks to discover lignite and fossils of giant trees, remains of rain-forests that existed long ago.
Listen to the giant forest ecosystem while walking to the old lignite mine of Syðridalur.
Follow the species movements. While observing the fauna that progressively rich the Westfjords during spring, learn about the seasonal migrations, the moves linked to climate changes or human driven implantation.
Eat and consume local - discover the local productions (on land and from the sea side), consumption and transportation.
Artistic tools
Let the surrounding nature guide your moves and bring your feelings to life through corporal performances
Express what inspires you the modifications of the landscapes (vegetation - geology) through visual art
Storytelling: Like a fairy tale give life to the species moves and tell about the local productions / consumption and goods transportation.
